If I was having two girls I would love to call them Christabel & Emmeline (Bella & Emmie).

exbury · 11/01/2007 11:22

We had a cat called Sophie - short for Catastrophe (because she was one). I was trying to think of other cat..xxx names for you, but got stuck at Catalogue! Current cat is called Sybil and we don't even know why cos we inherited her complete with name, but we do get some strange reactions from people who think cats should be called "fluffy" or "blackie"....

exbury · 11/01/2007 11:24

nogoes - you would need a third called Sylvia, surely?

their mum's called Emmeline. specifally after Emmeline Pankhurst. So maybe they should be Sykvia and Christabel. went to see them this morning (they're not the actual ones in that photo) and damn they're cute. can't wait to get them.

I used to have a cat called Smokey. And one called Spike.
I'm sure they're very cute!

mummylin2495 · 11/01/2007 12:16

call one kitty and the other one kat

PeachyClair · 11/01/2007 12:44

HC- yep, he has 3 legs, and no taile ither, and his jaw is a funny shape after resetting weirdly....

he's fab

nogoes · 11/01/2007 13:59

Oh Gawd, I didn't realise we were talking about cats! What a coincidence that the mum is Emmeline, in that case they should most definitely be called Christabel & Sylvia.

bundle · 11/01/2007 14:00

doris and theresa

Fimbo · 11/01/2007 14:07

Topsy & Tim

Jaynerae · 11/01/2007 15:12

This has just reminded me of when I was a student - a friend had two hampsters - "Birk and Head", when one died she re christened them Birk and Dead! sorry - it amused us as students! - a very long time ago!

exbury · 11/01/2007 16:14

I had Russian hamsters at college (completely against all rules) - Olga & Natasha - obviously I must have been in to proper names for animals even then!

hotpot · 11/01/2007 19:04

Rebecca (no shortening to Becky/Becca/Rebs) and Delilah - as siamese they should have dignified names. No reason they just popped into my head

MarsLady · 11/01/2007 19:06

I am thrilled and expect to see you on the D'ya ever wonder threads in the next couple of months... if not now!

So... Smokey huh?

DD1 wanted to call DD2 Henry Cinderella. Almost stuck! lol

MarsLady · 11/01/2007 19:07

Cats??????????????????? That'll teach me to just read the OP. Bleurghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Call 'em what you like the flea ridden things! Bleurghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

WelshBoris · 11/01/2007 19:09

Youre having twins

How about Boris and Welsh?

Lovely names

WelshBoris · 11/01/2007 19:10

Ah, cats

I hate cats so just send them via post to

Boris
Swansea
Wales

They will get to me, the local delivery service is marvellous.

Then I shall make cat pie

hatwoman · 11/01/2007 19:47

they will not be flea ridden. They are the most beautiful things you have ever seen. they are the colour of cappucino froth, they are softer than the inside of a sweet chestnut shell, they have dove grey ears, noses, paws and tails and I am perilously close to never letting the outdoors sully their perfection.
