she was absolutely drenched through all her vest and pj's right down to her knees and up to her chest.

she had on a bambino mio wrap with a prefold in it. AM i missing simething, should there have been more or are they just no good or no good for nightimes. dh is keen on the change to reusables but only if it works.

I don't like the bambino mios anyhow so I'm going to sell them but was trying out of curiosity, what did I do wrong??

Nothing. BM are the crappest of all nappies.
Tots bots and a fleece wrap are the very bestest, most absorbent nighttime nappy IMHO

TrinityRhino · 07/01/2007 11:07

oh good I was hoping that was the case, it did seem to be crap considering ther is no shaping and I could see her probably just peeing out of the side, missing the prefold totally or something. I am probabloy going to go for tot bots

Why don't you go to the Nappylady or twinkleontheweb and get a trial pack?
Tots are very bulky, but great for nighttimes. The new bamboo ones are slimmer fitting for daytime and very absorbent - but take a long time to air dry (apparently, I haven't used them, but I got one from Yorkiegirl to try on new baby).

Brightbots leggings and vests are v good quality and fit over re-usables. (Buy from Twinkleontheweb or google)

Bambino mio wraps are terrible. Pre-folds work well with motherease wraps though.

TrinityRhino · 07/01/2007 11:19

thanks, I have been taking some advice and I have been to thenappylady site

Didn't you say the inside was poking out of the wrap though?

BabyDragon went into her Little Lamb nappy at 7pm and was bone dry at 8:30am when I changed her. The nappy itself was wet, obviously but it hadn'teaked at all.(bargain on Little Lamb site if they're stil doing it - "trial pack" nappy, liner + wrap for £8.50 I think and then there's the free nappy offer so you effectively get 2 nappies/liners and a wrap for £10 incl P&P).

However, she had nappy rash and it smelt appalling!! So she's in disposables for the day .

PinkTulips · 07/01/2007 11:44

bambino mio can't cope with toddler night times at all. still use them for dd during the day but she's in bumbles or harmonies boosted and a wool wrap at night.

nappyaddict · 11/01/2007 00:31

were they the ones you got off ebay and didn't want? now you know why they were so cheap

i love these personally babaloos and especially good for nighttime.

joolsandoliver · 11/01/2007 00:53

I'm with PinkTulip. I think prefolds are great by day, crap by night. I use prefolds in the day and bumbles, tots bots, MEOS and stuffables by night. I like the fact that prefolds are slim line by day, although perhaps I would hate them if I hadn't already got a birth to potty set (which admittedly was a total waste of money)! Whatever, I'm glad not to use Tots Bots exclusively as they take forever to dry.

MrsWaggsnapps · 11/01/2007 08:46

The smaller prefolds are worth keeping as boosters as well
