DS1 has been having a wee and the occasional poo on the toilet for a while now before bath time.
We have taken the plunge today and ds1 has gone nappyless. He's had 2 wee's on the loo and 2 accidents since 10 this morning. He's having a nap at the moment so hoping he's still dry.
We've been taking him to the loo every 15-20 mins and asking him if he'd like to try for a wee or a poo and you can see him trying to 'perform'
Anyone have any good hints or tips on toilet success?

for the first week I use to give a chocolate sweet or half biscuit all the time
he was doing well in the toilet....small pieces...

then told him...that I run out of sweets
the week after....

he only had few accidents in the first 2 weeks and about twice at nursery,,,,

never after that....he was 2 years old...
I do put nappy at night and afternoon nap...

but also when we go away for the weekend and we travel with the car for 2 hours...

I don't like to stop in the middle of the motorway....for a wee

thanks, he is having 2 choc buttons and a sticker on his calender which also has smiley faces or sad faces for staying in his bed all night
I never know if and when he'll nap, it varies from day to day. I'm hoping that if he remained dry whilst napping, then maybe overnight might be reasonably easy to crack.

Hi Ladies,
Can anyone help me , before I have to seek professional help , my 4.5 year old still uses the toilet only when he feels like it , usually when he is bare bummed indoors. The rest of the time he will just wet and mess himsels without a second thought.
Find it so embarrassing, am the only one in my circle of friends whose child does this and need to get it sorted as goes to big school in September.
Very happy in nursery school , bright, usually sweet natured, but bad tempered occasionally.
Just doesn't seem to understand that it is unnaceptable for a big boy to mess himself , no sense of disgust or shame seems to register.
Have tried everything I can think of and am at my wits end with it.
Very jealous of toddler brother ( 18 mths old), perhaps this is the trigger.
Appreciate any insights you can give me .
xx
