What would you describe as a noo noo? If you've heard of the term. For example when saying to a child do you want your noo noo?

isn't it that vacuum cleaner from Teletubbies?

DamnCommandments · 29/02/2016 09:54

I came here to say "vulva", but that's clearly not the right answer...

DeadPooled · 29/02/2016 09:55

My ex mil used to call my daughters dummy that. It used to drive me mad.

winchester1 · 29/02/2016 09:56

My kid thinks its a nappy -,not sure why.

MummaMeerkat · 29/02/2016 09:56

In our family it is vulva but there is a children's book called the last noo noo where noo noo is a dummy. Also noo noo is the Hoover in Teletubbies

liptolinford · 29/02/2016 09:57

Blanket!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 29/02/2016 09:59

I thought vulva too!

SoMuchToBits · 29/02/2016 10:01

Well, when I was growing up, a noo noo was an elephant!

afternoonsun · 29/02/2016 10:02

Dummy!

Hadron21 · 29/02/2016 10:03

It's a Hoover in our house.

winchester1 · 29/02/2016 10:09

Although maybe he is saying new new rather than noo noo

elevenweekstogo · 29/02/2016 10:12

Hoover. My toddler calls the wee street cleaning machines noo noos as well.

CestLaVie93 · 29/02/2016 10:14

Blanket or comforter for babies.

CorBlimeyTrousers · 29/02/2016 10:14

I thought it was mainly used as a euphemism for female genitals. Although I do refer to nappy noo noos, confusingly for both nappies and naps.

DancingWithWillard · 29/02/2016 10:17

I thought it was one of those wee blanket with a toys head attached. Like a small comforter. I would also think a dummy as some people here say that.

ratspeaker · 29/02/2016 10:54

Teletubbies vacuum

A dummy - from a Jill Murphy book as I recall

A Scotish person saying Now Now

sallykins123 · 29/02/2016 15:11

A vulva? Never heard of that before, lol! Me and my hubby were having a debate about whether noo noo is a blanket or a dummy. I've only ever referred to it as a comfort blanket, he is saying it is a dummy. Lots of mixed versions on here!

OP posts:
ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 29/02/2016 15:12

It's a dummy, definitely

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot · 29/02/2016 15:14

Teletubbies vacuum cleaner

Or anything!

ajandjjmum · 29/02/2016 15:16

A child's comforter - of whatever variety!

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 29/02/2016 15:19

It's been slang for the vulva round here since the teletubbies.

EssentialHummus · 29/02/2016 15:23

Another one here to say vulva! Grin
