expat mums - uk/france formula equivalents?

I'm calling on the ever powerful collective knowledge of MN! i live in france and have a 2 month old who drinks Gallia formula (galliagest / digest to be precise). i'm flying home for 3 weeks soon, and would love to avoid dragging boxes of formula with me... anyone have any experience of equivalent brands? it looks like Aptamil might be similar? or has anyone done this the other way around, for holidays in france for example? Thanks!

I'm not in France but live abroad and formula feed. We just changed formula type when back home, they all have the same number of calories per 100ml and all have almost exactly the same nutritional values. We used SMA, unless there's any allergies or intolerances then I really wouldn't worry. My son showed no signs of noticing the change of formula when we travelled back to the uk when he was 2mths.

Yes Aptamil is the equivalent of Gallia in France
