Am struggling to work out my day (and night) with DD now 13 weeks old.
She was born by elective c-section and is breastfed. When she was 6 weeks old DH and I both had flu and were ill for nearly 3 weeks. DD and DS (21 months) both got bad colds and it's been a muddle ever since.
DS was definitely in a routine by this point, sleeping through the night (although I'm not expecting that) but waking, feeding and napping at pretty much the same times each day.
I think that was down to his temperament but I feel I don't know DD as well and am stuck in ever decreasing circles of feeding, winding, mopping up sick, changing her nappy, and trying to get her to sleep only to realise that she isn't hungry, windy, or tired and that I should be doing something else with her. She's getting to the point where she goes to sleep from sheer exhaustion which is miserable for all of us.
Our days are pretty similar with an activity in the morning and then DS has a long nap in the afternoon before waking for play and dinner. I can't even blame it on our hectic social life!
I don't want to resort to GF (DS wouldn't have worked with her as he's always slept far more than she suggests and at different times) but I'm at a loss (due to tiredness) to work out just how you manage to get into a routine with the second baby.
Sorry for the ramble...
