introducing solids??!

I'm wondering when j can introduce my baby to solids I have this woman who comes round as I'm a teenager telling me six months I think that sounds far to late I was thinking 4 months? Any advice

That's what I do she drives me mad I bought my son a rainforest jumperoo for when he's abit older aparantly I shouldn't be buying them and they should just be in the floor with there toysGrinConfused

The problem with HVs are that they are only people and their advice will diffet greatly from one to another.

I had one HV tell me to wean dd1 at 17 weeks as she wasn't 'sleeping through the night yet'.

In most things I would go with your gut but honestly it doesn't sound like your wee boy is going hungry so I wouldn't wean on that basis. However you're his mum so ultimately it's your decision.

Crossed posts. I kind of agree about the jumparoo however my dd2 is absolutely nuts (in the nicest way possible lol) and I have borrowed one in a bid to burn out the energy and be able to pee in peace lol. It's easy to have ideas about ideals but when you're actually the one with the baby who needs entertained while you put on a washing or go to the loo then you'll try anything lol.
