Tall skinny sleepsuits / babygros?

Precious DD has arrived and is a lot smaller than we were expecting which has caught us on the hop.

Previously I got organised with all sleepsuits / babygros for 0-3 thinking I was ahead of the game but now none of them fit. DD is very long and thin. Her legs when she straightens them almost fill the length of a 0-3 suit but I could fit 3 of her in them width ways.

We are going to do a quick trip out this afternoon and will try and pick up some emergency smaller sleepsuits and vests.

In your experience who makes the longest and narrowest ones?

I got a couple of M&S vests as gifts that were very narrow and long - my DD was also tiny but I had to wrestle her into the newborn size M&S vests whereas the 'tiny baby' sizes from everywhere else were still big on her at that point! Not sure if it is true for multipack vests and sleepsuits but maybe worth having a look.

Go to Boots. My Dd was 35 cm/7lb 11oz and their Newborn were too long fir her until she was 4 weeks

My DS was thin but long and found the marks and Spencer new born fit him perfectly.. He fit in to the 7lb range from mothercares.. A bit baggy but fit nicely

All my next babygrow are long and thin, the ones that button up down the centre. My DD has a longer body and at 3 months old the next ones are too long in the leg for her, she's going to be in 0-3 for a while :)

Sainsburys are good for long ones too - my 6 month DS has outgrown some 6-9 stuff but is still nicely in the Sainsbos ones.

I second Next. They are so long and thin they wouldn't do up around my baby but were too long!

Seconding Sainsburys, DS had chubby legs and I couldn't do up the poppers

Tesco/Next were long and skinny as were Asda. Avoid mothercare I found them vv wide on both my dd's.

Some people put them on upside down so that the feet are free and the hands are covered in scratch mitts.

As the parent of a very tall child I got some "playsuits" for DD from Boots basically a sleep suit with no feet coverings and I just put socks on with them to keep her warm.

We just cut the feet off (off the sleep suit, not the baby!) and put socks on, then moved to pyjamas pretty quickly (around 3 months iirc)
