My ds, about to turn 4, has 2 comfort blankets that he chews and sooks to go to sleep. Any tips for helping to give it up? I've no issue with him having a comfort blanket but it stinks and needs washed every day, and getting it off him is a nightmare.
He also sooks it to the extent it is soaking, and I've had to get up during the night because he's having a paddy about his sheets/ covers having a wet patch, and it's completely down to this blanket Sad

I've read about cutting a blanket up so he has more than one blanket. Then there could be one in the wash and there would be less dribble in bed.
I can't imagine cutting up my son's comfort toy so I'm not sure how good an idea that is!!! Sorry.

When we weaned off the dummy, we said that big boys didn't have dummies on holiday. He was totally up for that. Then we bought a BIG present from the dummy fairy. (Well we don't have fairies but the imaginary friends that my son thought had the dummies).
