Bathing baby...

I've just got back from meeting with a friend. Her husband does bath time each day and apparently her 16 week old screams! She told her dh that they couldn't not do the bath but she would help. So here is my question- do you bathe your baby every day? My dd is 13 weeks and we bath her about 3 times a week and if she goes swimming then she always gets a bath that day. Surely little babies don't get that dirty? I know some people have it as part of a routine but you can do other relaxing things and some babies don't like getting naked and redressed so it isn't relaxing. Just interested on how others see this- I don't want people to think in lazy because she isn't bathed every day!

DS1 I bathed everyday. DS2 gets about twice a week! There's less time!

Bath Every other day and cotton wool clean of face every day - although I realised the other day that her neck had got so chubby that I had been missing one of her folds and it was full of neck cheese! (I'm more careful now!)

I bathe DD (10 months) 2/3 times a week, top n tail the other days like a majority here. I really do not want her skin to dry out as we have eczema in the family, I had it until I was 22! Amazingly her skin is beautiful and I put it down to Weleda (bath and shampoo) and daily moisturising with castor oil.

We at our daughter every night and have done since she was a few weeks old. She hated it first but love it now and gets excited when I say bath time. Again, like others, it was about establishing night time routine bath, bottle, bed. I love bathing her and find it a lovely bonding experiencing. Nightmare getting her out though as she would be happy to sit in the bath for hours!

We bathed ds once a week when he was really tiny then about 2-3 times a week from 3 months old. I didn't want to get into a routine of having a bath every night and I was worried it would dry out his skin.

We ended up bathing him every night from 6 months old when he started weaning because he is a very messy eater! He loves having a bath though and his skin is fine. I'm not sure I would do it if he hated it

Maybe she thinks if she keeps at it then he will start to like the bath?
