I have 2 dc age 10 and 8, plus i work as a childminder looking after a 1 and a 2 year old and a 5 year old before and after school. DH works very long hours and is out the house before my dc get up and home at 8:30 when my dc are going to bed. I do everything in the house because I am here all day, everything that needs doing i do. Dh works hard too so i cant really complain to him. What would really help is if my own dc were more cooperative. I find myself having to ask them to do things over and over before I eventually get cross. Any tips on easing my workload and getting my dc to do what they are supposed to on the 1st or 2nd time would be so useful.

I like the book calmer, easier happier parenting which has clear, easy to follow strategies. It is written by a former teacher based on her experience of what works.
