Calling all nappy buffs - urgent advice needed... Bamboozles and having aplix added

Bought tots bots bamboozles (size 2's) back in Feb - non-aplix. Many of you will know there has since been a problem with nippas not working on the bamboozles so now all aplix. Have spoken to tots bots and don't want mine to have aplix added as I just don't feel they fit dd as well as a nippa'd nappy. Also some of the bamboozles I'd bought are slightly smaller than others and this is now showing up as dd is bigger, if this is a further fault not sure that getting the aplix added is going to solve and would rather have proper ones to start with iyswim. Am in the process of returning them to a third party who will then return them to tots bots - life would have been so much simpler if I'd bought them direct .

Anyways, what I'm wandering is, what will I re-place them with? Had the terry tots bots in size 1 and loved them, worked great with nippa etc. Dh really likes the slimmer fit of the bamboozles but I'm just not sure about trying them again. In a quandry as to wether to just buy size 2 terry, try one aplix bamboozle or something else altogether. Dd has a slender middle but chunky thighs and the nippa nappy def makes for better fit on her.

Has anyone out there gone ahead with having aplix added, have they been ok?

Do you think there might be a poss prob getting this all sorted as they've got to be retured to the site I bought them form then on to tots bots?

Sorry this is so long and waffley, really anxious to get sorted adap as want to get back to re-useables (stupid disposable I'm using just now keep leaking).

Have just ordered some more of the lovely rainbow bamboozles which i have been using on my DS. I have found them to be extemely reliable (i.e. no leaks) and quite nice and slim fitting. Re drying, i find what works best is hanging them on a rack until almost dry (about a day or less if the heating's on) and then finishing off on a low tumble which also makes them lovely and silky soft. I've also ordered a couple of the new TotsBots wraps which now have leg gussets, so will see if they're as good as Motherease.

Thanks all for the advice.....will get a few different types including the aplix bamboozles and see how we go. My baby's not due until January. Hoping to bond with bamboozles as I've got my son's old baby clothes and I'll need a slim fitting washable nappy to be ok under a lot of his old stuff.

The plan is to use washable nappies this time and improve my green credentials!
