Hi there,
Have been using fuzzi bunz for dd for first 3.5 months but the small size are wicking badly at the moment and putting me off using them again although i loved them in the beginning ! I am not a fan of seperate nappy and wrap so love what fuzzi bunz offer.
What are peoples experiences with magicalls? Or with medium size fuzzis? Any advice gratefully recieved as always.

I've not had much luck with fuzzis, but you could try some extra boosting or go up a size. The only pocket I have that actually works is weenotions, it has leg frills and adjustable leg elastic so I've been able to get a really good fit. It even survives post-swimming when DS seems to wee out the entire contents of the pool

Try rinsing out your fuzzis in the machine without any detergent - detergent can build up in the fleece and repel the wee - or try a different insert - if using the small inserts your baby is probably weeing through them by now - try putting two in or a small prefold or a large insert folded down - or maybe a wonderful hemp insert. Also when you get to large fuzzis you may find you need regular prefolds to keep her going. Once you get the stuffing right in fuzzis they are brilliant.

Agree with cornflakekid... haven't tried the other type you mentioned but perhaps you need to try the next size up with Fuzzi's. We have a couple of small one which we squeeze ds (4 months) into in an emergency... ok, i admit it the washing hasn't been done!! These leak everytime! The mediums are fine with the next size up insert!

prowrap do an all in one which we loved - it folds out to dry and contains well

I've not tried fuzzis, just magicalls and the pocket version.

I like em, they are very very slim, but I have found that they seem to come adrift and wonky when he's been wearing them too long and wriggling lots. They don't wick or anything - just look odd

I haven#t had any explosive poos in them yet though!!!

Have been using fuzzis since ds was 6mo. He is now 19mo and we moved from small up to medium size some months ago. Make sure there is absolutely nothing else in the machine when you wash or they will wick - as we found out with our test batch. Those 2 wicked from being washed with other cotton nappies but our small and medium nappies which have only ever been washed with fuzzis and microfleece inserts have lasted superbly.

How did you cope with reusables on a newborn? I wasn't brave enough but might consider it if there is a next time around...

thanks for all the advice !! TBH I didn't start using them til she was 1 month old as she just needed changing to much and with lack of sleep i couldn't face the washing but have found them absolutely fine until this problem of wicking.
One solution I was told is to tumble dry them every now and again to seal the pul which seems to have worked. Thanks again !
