there does come a point, where they go and play with other kids in the playground by themselves.

stop tugging at your sleeve incessantly and needing you to follow them round the whole time and play with them

it can be quite sudden.

ds (2.10) made a friend at the playground on tuesday and has been off with gangs of kids every since.

i never knew parenting could be this easy!!!!

Awww, how sweet I am glad to hear that! We were at a group the other week and ds (17mths) went off with a couple of older girls he'd never seen before! Happy as larry, didn't look back at me once. I was quite stunned as he normally clings to my neck. But he is a bit of a ladies man...
