When you had a new baby, what was your biggest waste of money?

Don't know if this has been done before but can't find a thread if it has. I'm curious to know because I just seem to be tipping money down the mothercare drain and want to feel I'm not alone! Also that this thread may be useful for some mums-to-be...

Mine was a crib that I used ONCE!
Also wish I'd not bothered buying a travel system because it was too heavy, a baby bath, and the cute litte hooded towel that was so thin it didn't dry. Along with blankets because I ended up using a gro bag, the baby bjorn because couldn't get DS's legs over the top to get him in....

I could go on (and on and on) but more interested in what MN wisdom will tell me

Bumbo - borrowed one for about a week. ds was about the right size for it for about 3 days during which time he hated it and yelled to be let out every time he say in it!

Top and tail bowl, now used by the cat

Nappy wrapper thing - have disinfected it god knows how many times and it still stinks but the idea was great as you don't have to keep legging it out to the bin especially in early (winter) days following c section. Shame the actual thing didn't do the job!

best buys: baby carrier, canopy saped sun shade for pram (still use it in all weathers as makes the pram nice and dark for naps), music and lights box that plays lullabies and projects pictures on the ceiling ds LOVED it when he was tiny, fabric high chair type harness thing from NCT totally invaluable when no high chair available THIS

unweildy 3 wheeler buggy - the second hand maclaren I got from the local paper is MUCH much better and more useful

door bouncer - used a handful of times only

bumbo - borrowed from a friend - DS loved it for an hour then hated it
