I know this is probably going to sound totally mad, or sad, but my sil, mil, and niece, just took my ds out for a couple of hours this afternoon. He is 9 1/2 months old and I can honestly say this is the first time that I have ever had any time to myself, in my house, since he has been born. Dh is disabled and can't take him out or really be responsible for him at home, so between looking after my dh and my ds, I have not been 'off duty' for the last nearly 10 months. I got into my pj's and lay in bed watching tv, drinking coffee and eating chocolate covered animal crackers, and I can honestly say that it did me more good than 3 straight nights of unbroken sleep!!! I feel like a different woman!!! (so does my dh, he says, just joking thank goodness!!!). I am now actively recruiting members to the 'help cubby doss' club. WOW WOW WOW WOW.

Fantastic cubby - the importance of 'me' time cannot be overestimated, sounds like you well and truly deserve a break, and not just this time! Good luck with the 'help cubby doss' club!
