OPINIONS NEEDED, FEEL SO HAPPY/PROUD SHOULD I ACTUALLY POTTY TRAIN?

My ds is 2 next week, his potty has been sitting in our downstairs toilet and I haven't bothered to get it out at all.
Today he was walking around in his nappy but called us to open the toilet door then ripped his nappy off, he sat on his potty and did a POO!!
We praised him so much, I'm very surprised, DO YOU THINK I SHOULD NOW ACTUALLY START TRYING TO POTTY TRAIN COMPLETELY??
Just keep it for at home??
My dd was 2.2 before she was clean and it was a quite hard, I was going to leave ds for a bit especially as people say boys are/take harder/longer.

i would be sooo proiud but maybe justy still let him do it when he wants for a bit and not rush in with expecting him to do it as it might put him off
mind you I didn't train my dd1 till she tried to do it herself at 3 and then we had a nightmare, not quite sure why and we haven't got to that stage with dd2 yet
so you probably just ignore me

Thanks trinityrhino, he seems to be trying to grow up too fast in some ways!
I thought it was my fault when my daughter seemed too grown-up for her age but maybe it's just the way my children will be.
Perhaps he is watching everyone else in the house use the toilet and doesn't want to be in nappies??
He is booked in to start nursey in September and I am worried that if he is clean that may set him back??
Whilst I've been writing this he has just used his potty to wee!! He is walking around with a bare bottom at the mo!!
