DD invented a brilliant one there today, she removed her nappy, crawled into the bathroom where we have shiny tiles, pissed on the floor, slipped in it and hit her head... genius child...

ds has been doing this repeatedly (but he's walking). he also pours water on the floor and then slips over.

I keep thinking - he'll learn surely, but he never does

? what kind of weirdness is this?

Tommy · 29/07/2006 19:08

mine keeping sticking things into various bodily orifices "to see if they come out again...." - so far we've had a bead up the nose, fluff from a teddy in his ear and a small bouncy ball in his mouth.....
I detect a visit to A&E before the holidays are out [sigh]

DD's best so far (when in reception):

Put on 'clip-clops' (stilts like flowerpots with string through them)
Needed toilet
Ran using clip-clops
Wet herself in the toilet
Slipped from clip-clops
Caught chin on toilet bowl - huge purple bruise
Rolled in all the wee

My dd2's (15 months) latest trick is attempting to climb into her highchair. Sometimes ending in a bellyflop on the floor.

The other day she climbed onto the sofa and then dived head first off the end. I caught her by the ankles just before her head hit the floor.

While playing on our bed, dd (21 months) stood up, put the sheet over her head, and then promptly fell off the bed because she couldn't see where she was!

Love this thread. Am lucky at the moment, 14 week olds can't realy do anything much to themselves, but what a lot of exciting things to look forward to ......!

DS1 pulled our old (and admittedly past it) slide on himself this week.....cue much screaming!

other things done tho.....

DD1 came down a huge slide backwards at age 8 (now 12)....got away with 'only' a broken finger!

DD2 fell off monkey bars....broke and dislocated elbow...hospital for op to re-set!(at age 7, now 10)

DD3 ...has slipped on wet floor and split head open....horpital. (was age 2....now 7)

DS1....fed himself some massage oil requiring hospital as it had several oils that have bad effects if ingested. one week later ate some dishwasher powder that hadn't disolved in the dishwasher drawer, and while I was unloading said dishwasher.(was 2yrs old, now 6 and no lasting effects) (well....I got some odd looks tho at the hospital for the re-admittance for yet another ingestion)

DS2 climbed from climbing frame onto a 6ft high wall (DH had moved climbing frame next to wall to mow lawn!), then threw himself off it....at 18mths. and got away with just a small scratch on his back!. Oooh, and has bounced on our bed and then thrown himself off, in the process head butting side table and taking a handle off exposing screws.....guess where the screws eneded up?????

YES....IN HIS HEAD*.....[sob]. stitches again!!!!

all have at some point or other tried to top themselves many more times than these....these are only the most memorable for each!
