This is so evil of me, but the dd's are just ...

...getting on my nerves atm.

Dd2 (nearly 3) has a meltdown every hour or so over nothing. Apart from that she talks with a voice that is either whiny or baby-ish to the extreme and really drives me up the wall.

Dd1 (5), who can be very grown-up and mature, is also being quite silly and infantile atm, desperate for attention from me and trying to please me, which stupidly annoys me. Tonight we had friends over who have a 10 year old son and dd1 spent all evening trying desperately to get this boy's attention, being really silly, even though I kept telling her (in German, so nobody else would know) to calm down.

It's probably all to do with ds and their reaction to him, but I still find it really hard work atm, esp. as it's the holidays and we're together every single moment of the day.

i have a ds who is 3 and he is being whiny at the mo and i suspose has been since ds2 was born if i think about it. Neither will remeber the devotion you gave to them when they were babies and only see you spend so much time with ds. hot weather of course doesnt help.

The heat is p*ssing everyone off a the moment too. My kids always act up the first few days even week of the holidays becuase they aren't used to being around the house and me all the time.

Hopefully the are tucked up in bed and you can now relax.

Glad it's not just me.
I feel so bad when they annoy me like this sometimes when they just want my approval a lot of the time.
It would be just so nice if I could just sit in the shade, read a book and cuddle ds... (dream on)
Dd1 used to really good at entertaining herself, but now through school she seems so used to having stuff to do that she gets bored easily.

Was just telling DH on the phone that DD2 and DD3 are being just like this. Having thought about it, I think that they're tired they just aren't getting enough sleep with all this heat. As DD1 is still at school, so am having to get them all up at normal time. Two more days to go and then hopefully they can catch up a bit and things'll get back to normal.

Not evil at all - just human. I started getting a bit annoyed too today when ds toddled up about every half hour. pulled my top down, latched himself on for about 10 seconds, wandered off for 10 seconds and then came back and did it all again... I'm all for bf on demand but it did get a bit wearying after a while

FIT - it's that age your ds is at when bfing on demand takes on a whole new meaning.

Thanks for reassuring me ladies, I still wish though that I could be more serene.
