Talcum powder and babies

My friend told me about sixteen years ago that she wouldn't use talcum powder on her baby girl because of the fear of it causing ovarian cancer. Does anyone still use it?

Talc is the softest known mineral and it comes from talc mines. I know babies can choke on it, but the jury's out on the cancer link so I'll just give it a miss altogether.

I stopped using it once they stopped using it on surgical gloves.
