Sorry - wrote that then got distracted by something and posted much later - so glad your dd is OK!

Hope you can catch up on some sleep soon x

1st 2nd and 3rd never fell off anything until they were walking, ds4 fell out of bed at 6 months and has had his head bashed on door frames more than once Grin

I felt awful when he fell of the bed though

I've done this twice, off a low bed onto wooden floorboards and a cement fire surround.
DH just let DD2 face plant off the sofa onto wooden floorboards
It happens to everyone at some point (our nanny walked the baby into the ceiling carrying DD1 up the stairs on her hip on her first day).

Definitely take some iron supplements. You will feel a whole lot better.

When DS2 was four weeks old DH dropped him at the top of the stairs. He fell the full flight and fractured his skull.

He is 3 next week and is perfectly fine!

It happens. It's awful, but I think we tend to feel awful for longer than the baby!

If you like co-sleeping (or even if you don't co-sleep but have the baby in bed to breastfeed) have a look at getting a bed guard. We have one permanently up on my side of the bed so DS can't fall off (or I don't fall off if I'm on that side!)

I bashed DD's head on a low ceiling, she rolled off a sofa on to a wooden floor and she also fell/rolled down a flight of stairs. She's 6 now and fine. DS is 5 months - nothing yet but I'm sure it will happen!

I went to the GPs after the stairs and the Doctor was great. He said something like this happens to everyone, however much you babyproof your house or don't let them out of your sight. He told me his son had had a similar roll down the stairs. He also quite rightly said it is the parents who are more upset than the babies when these things happen!
