Moving from potty to toilet - any advice?

Ds is going to the toilet at nursery but to the potty at home. He has a little seat and likes it but can't get up there on his own (whereas he can at nursery). Shall I just wait until he's a bit bigger? It is a bit of a pain having to drag the potty round with me at the moment.

do you have a step to help him onto the loo?

IKEA do cheap steps and I had a padded seat that fitted on top of our loo to make it more suited to a little bottom. It has bright coloured fish on it and I think i got it from the GLTC catalogue (free delivery I think if you use the MN website).
