Help! How do I change a crawling baby??

My baby has just started crawling and will not stay still now at all when I try to change her nappy.

Had a nightmare there when she had a dirty nappy and it went EVERYWHERE!

I was using a changing table but it's no longer safe so doing it on the floor now but she won't stay still. Starting to dread nappy changes and don't get me started on trying to dress her. Sob.

Any tips??

On the floor, really fast, singing and making funny noises.

Really fast is crucial.

Also, have everything out and ready, wipes out of container, nappy opened up and placed under the previous one. Use lots of wipes (don't worry about using just one at a time) but do the majority of wiping with the nappy you are taking off (wipe with the bit that has been at the front, not the pooey bit)

And always a big hug and kiss when a successful change has been accomplished.

I'm sure someone on MN taught me to sit with DD between my legs and pin her down by the shoulders with my feet (gently).

Thanks for all your useful comments. You've given me lots of suggestions but most importantly made me realise I'm not alone!
