Hi there, My DD is 27 months and I started 'training' on Friday. As it is so hot she's been naked and has happily run to the potty to do a wee and get her star sticker and choc button. we even got a no 2 yesterday. we have had 2 accidents and 6-7 wees in the potty per day. Today I thought i'd try pants as she was doing so well. Well, she weed through her pants 4 times (albeit on the potty) as she couldnt seem to tell me quick enough. After 4 accidents i took the pants off and she has since done 7 wees on the potty, had a dry nappy during her nap and had no accidents. Should i leave the pants off for a while? Or should i stick with pants on? (i dont want to dishearten her). Not sure what to do as we have a family function on saturday and i cant really take her with no knics on.....help

Leave them off as much as poss. Wouldn't your family understand? If she wears a dress they may not notice a little bare bot. She's doing fantastically!

is she good at dressing/undressing herself already ie can she take off pants by herself when not in urgent potty need?
May just be a case of practising getting pants on and off.

If worst comes to worst at weekend, perhaps go for long dress and no pants.

Thanks, It is a practice thing I guess. As she's always been in nappies she's never needed to take her pants off before :-) She takes her top off occasionally but is a bit lazy to be honest and tends to let me dress her.

I'm so proud though as she just did her 9th wee of the day on the potty without even telling me - she just went and did it!:o

I'll try to leave the pants off as much as possible until we've had time to practice dressing...the thought of going out is a bit scary though Blush
