I have a huuge, blank, threatening looking white page in front of me...how can I make it have words on, please?

Draw a nice big picture of a knitted uterus, heh heh

when are you off there btw? Have you already been?

Carmenere · 11/06/2006 11:35

My foolproof method is just write down as much as you can regardless of whether it is crap or not and later on you can mess around with it.

Fillyjonk · 11/06/2006 11:38

next weekend.

I know you are just Envy Envy franny but you will have to contain yourself. (the flapjakes worked well though, will post more later)

Thank you carmenere that is most helpful. But I know NOTHING about le chatelier and his law. I think that if I start talking about things that I do know about, like chocolate and knitting needles, then they will rumble me.

Hmmmm.

well in that case the obvious thing to do is to look up stuff on the net, cut and paste it and then rewrite it in your own words Grin

Fillyjonk · 11/06/2006 11:41

yes, but its all effort, isn't it.

I think it may have come to...turning off the computer Shock

[stern look]

you can't have your cake and eat it

if you want to show off about your swanky degree you will have to actually do some work

motherinferior · 11/06/2006 12:04

Write some words. Go on, you are good at writing words. Then write some more words. Then look at what you've done and rewrite it into cogent prose. It can be done, honest.

spacedonkey · 11/06/2006 12:48

Yeah but the problem is that while it's all in your head it can be the perfect, beautiful essay. Writing it down only reveals the muddled reality Sad

Speaking for myself there of course, I'm sure yours aren't muddled at all (she hastily added)

I've got one to do on Manuel Castells :-S

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 11/06/2006 13:39

what is le chatelier's law?

peachyClair · 11/06/2006 14:41

I have aritual that involves printing off reams of notes* from the internet, then doing a spidergram, then writing the essay I want to submit, then editing down to word count. It breaks it down and seems to focus on an increasingly more defined area, which works for me.

  • not wasting paper- gets used by kids for drawing, then receycled. Thank you!
Fillyjonk · 11/06/2006 14:53

oooh I've done 2 1/2 hours!

I'm just going to eat a nice flapjack and then continue.

am on to enthalpy now..its actually getting interesting, \link{http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enthalpy\look}
