What does your baby wear?

DS is 12 weeks. He is still in baby gros the vast majority of the time. I think they look so comfy and cosy and are also easy for me to get on / off him and to wash.

However, I've noticed among nct friends and at various groups and classes we go to that by this age most of the boys are now wearing trousers, jeans, dungarees with socks and tops.

Am I being weird? Will these folks think I am too lazy to dress my son?! He does get clean clothes every morning and wears different sleep suits in bed at night. The few times I've put him in trousers he looks less comfy but mainly it's like he looks like a baby dressed up as a little boy rather than just a snuggly little baby. Not sure if I'm being weird!!

Mine wore babygrows for 6-9 months I think, far more comfortable than horrible jeans I think that's far more harsh on their delicate skin! Keep babies babies!!

Hmm okay then I'll be one of the first to say that when my little one is out and about (6 weeks) she generally wears 'outfits'. She'll wear little leggings and a tshirt or a dress over her nappy. I admit I just assumed it was the done thing. She's my first and most people around me have their babies in outfits so I just assumed that's what you did. She doesn't seem uncomfortable? She wears sleepsuits and vests when we're just in the house and having a lazy day though. :)

I think leggings aren't bad wee blueberry, the trousers ds had when little wee very stiff and dug in, whereas dd always seems fine in leggings.

Interesting to read the thread! I'll be honest and say it isn't just the comfort factor either - I just think babies look quite silly in clothes sometimes. Like I saw a little boy of a few months in trousers and a shirt with collar which made him look like someone's grandpa Wink
