Head lice

Ds 4 just got up for a wee and was scratching his head. I looked and he has head lice. Dp is 200m away so I'm stuck at home unable to get out. Do I, send him to school and treat them when he gets home or do I need to find a shop and sort it before school?

Just keep looking so carefully for the next week or so. When DS1 got them a few years back we were praising ourselves for getting rid of them quickly only to have them come back as we didn't keep checking. The eggs are tricky to spot too. Awful things!

Bumb do you just go in and ask for a free one?

We're going through this for the first time at the moment too. My DD is only 20 months and at nursery, naive little old me though it would be a while before we had to deal with this! We have used an 8 hour leave in spray, but she won't tolerate the combing :( We really need to do this, there are eggs left in her hair. The spray said that it would kill them but I'm not so sure.

The spray is not killing the eggs for us, me as dd are clear but ds is still itching, I'm combing all the time and have used 2 lots of stuff, one pesticide one not. Nitty gritty combing starts today I think it must be best way. Good luck
