In light of all the break ups, downers and general stuff, can I have a happy thread please?

DH: the way he clearly adores me and thinks I am the most intelligent beautiful thing he knows (even though I am not)

DS1: His cuddles on the sofa when DH is at work in the evenings

DS2: his wonderful sense of humour and teddy bear-ness

DS3: The way he can amke anyone, anywhere smile, and the fatc he just learned to give a proper hug........

anyone else?

Im not usually soppy but Ive had a lovely afternoon with DD so why not

The way she calls me Mee-Mee because she cant say Mummy.

The way she copies me, sweeping up the floor and pretending to cook in her kitchen

The hugs and kisses Im so lucky to get from her every day

WideWebWitch · 19/03/2006 20:25

Oh I've had some lovely moments this weekend.

dh is the best man I've ever met, I'm mad about him and it's reciprocated
ds makes me laugh and is clever and kind and loving and my great big grown up firstborn
dd is just scrumptious, all soft chubby 2yo skin and massive cuddles

My dh is a PITA but i wouldn't swap him for anything. An emotions iceblock but when he does something nice he goes all out.
He cooks, drives me to my mums if i can't be bothered to drive, brings me my tea (just the way i like it!) EVERY morning without fail even if he is late for work.

And my ds is the sweetest most caring snuggly little boy i could ever have wanted.
And my baby on way is so loved already.

I LOVE MY FAMILY Grin

cutekids · 19/03/2006 20:27

they give me such warmth and love and-as far as they're concerned-i'm the most beautiful person in the world! (I'm not by the way!).

collision · 19/03/2006 20:53

the way DH gives me goosebumps just by looking at me! and thinks I am the best thing ever.

the way ds1 (4) chatters on about everything and is so inquisitive and asked me today if I had ever had a pet bat?!!

the way ds2 (16m) says 'uh-oh' when he drops something and gets on my knee for cuddles and squeezes!

I love my family.

crazydazy · 19/03/2006 21:01

DP is my best friend and the only person I can totally connect with and I just love the way he loves us unconditionally.

DD - she's sensitive but loyal and feel proud that she's my little girl.

DS - the way he gets out of bed and comes straight in to me and gives me a great big kiss on my head and then snuggles into me.

Wouldn't want to be anywhere else Smile

expatinscotland · 19/03/2006 21:07

DH: he's my rock.

DD1: I LOVE her twee voice. Even when she wakes up in the morning and starts shouting for her cup of milk, her voice just delights me. I love her hands, too. She has pianist hands. Her gorgeous hair - chesnut with gold streaks, straight but curled at the end - and her green eyes. When I was younger, I wanted to be like her - tall and thin. The way she imaginary plays with things and how much she loves to draw, paint, play with PlayDoh. She loves music and dance, too.

DD2: her little smile when she sees me in the morning. Her pudgy tummy as I change her nappy and clothes. The way she tries to sit herself up. Her serious expression. Her ears. Her round head.

expatinscotland · 19/03/2006 21:08

I love to take them a walk and passing people and everyone knowing I'm their mother. I love hearing DD1 call me Mummy.

alexsmum · 19/03/2006 21:19

what a lovely thread!
I love dh so much! He's the only person I could be with all the time and not get annoyed! Everything is better if he is there, even just watching t.v or reading a book. And whenever we go to kids birthday parties, I always see the other dads and think ' my dh is def the best looking here!'
Ds1 is so special to me.he's so handsome! I can't believe he came out of me! He's so affectionate and considerate. He gives fab cuddles and kisses.he's clever and funny, just all round fab!
Ds2 makes me laugh! He's so his own little man! He's got such soft skin and beautiful blue eyes and a smile to die for!
He's very imaganitive and i love listening to him talking to himself .I love the way he adores his big brother-and i love that his brother adores him!

puddingandpie · 19/03/2006 21:23

They're mine. I love the fact my d/h and i made our two beautiful daughters. I love the fact that they love each other and are so close. I know things will change as they get older.

I just love the fact i moved them into same room and they are so delighted to see each other every morning.

This is such a nice thread we are all so lucky.Grin

IamBlossom · 20/03/2006 10:21

DH - makes me laugh, adores me, can be a PITA but knows it and makes up for it so many ways, works so hard for us, is so proud of DS1 and DS2 on the way, bursts with pride at the thought of having two kids of his very own, and his very own family.

DS1 - the most beautiful little boy I have ever seen, white blonde with his dad's blue eyes, gives the best cuddles I have ever had, cheeky, clever, and soo affectionate, I burst with love every morning, and I know this is pure fromage but it is true and I conciously think it every day i am with him, even on the hard days. THIS is what life is all about.

DS2 - on the way and so wanted and looked forward to. BEAM.

The way that if I'm feeling blue my DH gathers my sons together, disappears for five minutes and then bursts in on me singing and dancing! They've worked out so many routines Smile and it doesn't matter how often they do it, it cannot fail but raise a smile.

Donbean · 20/03/2006 11:17

Knowing that on my way home from work after dealing with all the tragic, heartwrenching sadness that is in this world, i will kiss my little angel as he sleeps snuggly and safely in his big boy bed.
I will get a huge hug from dh and a mug of hot chocolate and talk without realizing the time with the tv off about our boy and his little day.
That was last night alone. Smile

collision · 20/03/2006 11:19

alliebaba · 20/03/2006 11:24
