I don't really have a problem with piercings at the top of the ear,but I think 14 is too young.

I've told dd she can wait until she is 16 and doesn't need my permission.Cue stroming off in a huff.

Does anyone know if a 14 yr old can get it done without my permission.I know she can lie but I personally don't think she looks 16.

I think ears are exempt from age restrictions but it might depend on the local authority, they were talking of licencing but I don't know whether that has come in

not without permission no.... but it only takes a lie for it to be done.

I had to be 18 to have my bellybutton pierced but lied at 16 to get it done.

i had to give permission for my dd to have her ears pierced at 14, the place that did them insisted.

OR she an do what I did at 13 and do it herself with an ice cube and a needle. Still can't believe I did that, can't imagine being so rebellious now.

you have to be over 2 years to legally have you're ears pierced but no top age limit.
Other piercings are meant to be restricted to over 18 years but everyone lies and it is very rare you get asked for id.

You have to wait until 16 I think, but for ears a lot of places don't enforce this if the person is obviously not a child, as opposed to teenager.
