Gina routines with second baby - is it possible?

I am pregnant with my second. With ds1, I followed the routines from birth with great success. I plan to do the same second time round, but am quite concerned about how you fit it in with daily life with another child. My ds will be just about 3 when baby is born. He will not be attending nursery or playgroup, but we do go out a lot and I hope he will be attending at least one organised class a week (where I stay too). I worry about the sleeps, the feeds etc. I breastfed ds1 and plan to do so with new baby. How feasible is all this going to be? Am I mad??

I have wondered this as well even though I am not yet expecting number 2! I think there is another thread on it somewhere but the impression I get is that you have to be ALOT more flexible when you have a toddler to consider. My friend who has just had her second has a ds who is almost two and she goes out alot with him. So far what she has done is just put ds2 down for naps in buggy/carseat if she knew they were going to be out and a certain time (rather than using the cot which Gina swears by!!). Another friend had to throw Gina out of the window as she felt it was too restrictive on her toddler but now that her DS2 is 4-5 months it is getting easier to generally follow the sleep guidlines. Hope this helps a bit..see what others here with more experience say.
