WHAT MUMS REALLY WANT

Nat37 · 23/05/2012 13:06

I have often wondered what is the one thing that mums really need or want? Is it that stobborn stain remover or gadget that makes our lives easier? getting enough rest, or wanting something that should be made more of?

Thoughts anyone.

I?m in one of my philosophical moods today so I find myself pondering quite a lot when I?m like this ? lol :)

I want a "Manny" the Freddie Prinze Jr character from Friends will do thanks.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 23/05/2012 13:23

A cook, plenty of sleep and a balance of me time/family time. Also for the children to do what they are told but that is just a pipe dream! Grin

fridakahlo · 23/05/2012 13:26

Someone else to wipe their arses (the children, that is).

iwantcake · 23/05/2012 13:27

I'll tell you what I want.. I want a wife! Someone who will take care of my kids, clean my house, fold my laundry, cook healthy balanced meals and keep the cupboards well stocked. She'll do all this so I can pursue my interests, play with my children when I want and have the energy to have sex everyday with my husband :)

MakeHayAndSneeze · 23/05/2012 13:28

A house that is actually big enough for us all and has a room specially for me with my craft stuff and a big glass of wine

plus3 · 23/05/2012 13:35

A time manipulator.....extend the good days, shorten grumpy days, lengthen the week so we can fit everything in and not feel exhausted.

Then, more money.

Actually...I will look into inventing my time manipulator then I will be sorted Grin

Oh Chaos, I thought you were fixed?!?!?!?!

A cook, a cleaner and a gardener.

pumpkinsweetie · 23/05/2012 13:48

A remote control to turn down the volume of four dcs shouting at times it can reach quite high in decibels, rewind the good moments, fast forward the bad.
A cook, a cleaner, a gardener lol, my dh does cook the odd meal on occasion but does he wash up?-does he feck as like.
The garden is supposed to be his job but it closely resembles a jungle from outta space and dont get me started on his ability to pick up his own food wrappers Grin

If you could invent a Stuff-Put-Awayer®, that'd be most helpful, thankyousomuch

I meant soul

Nat37 · 23/05/2012 14:39

lOL, I definitely agree about going to the loo in peace - my three year old is always asking when I'm coming out, hehe. I would love a couple of servants - one for cooking and the other for general help.

Btw, Chaos, what's with the numerous replies..?

A time stopper so when I've had enough I can stop time, hop into a parallel universe and go to the Maldives for a week on my own with my Kindle and an unlimited supply of Sauvignon-Blanc, completely guilt free, as when I'm bored I can just go back and unfreeze time and DS wont even have known I've gone Grin

Niceupthedance · 23/05/2012 16:48

A 48 hour babysitter, so I can go out, spend the next day on the sofa festering in peace, have a wonderful night's sleep then I'd be ready to face single parenthood again!

AnnetteTwitcher · 23/05/2012 21:25

A four day week where I get to leave at 5 without guilt in an interesting job which pays more than 3p per week!

leguminous · 24/05/2012 11:57

A magical self-cleaning house, so that I wouldn't be sat here looking at the mess and feeling overwhelmed by the task of getting it decent before my own mum arrives to stay.

More money. A lot more money.

The power to genuinely keep my kids safe their whole lives long.

mamalovesmojitos · 24/05/2012 11:59

Respect.
