Poo in the middle of the night?

My daughter will be 3 end of the month. She's been potty trained for a while, must be at least 8 months or so. She's completely dry in the day and only has her nappy on when she has her nap & at night. Just this week, she has decided to have a poo in the middle of the night. She would wake up crying, because she's done a poo, etc. What would be causing her to have a poo in the night? And more importantly, will she do this if she's out of nappy? Poo-ing in her knickers will not be a nice sight!! haha... pls help!!

Hi ChocCake! A friend of mine had exactly the same thing with her dd. What worked for her was only giving her dd fruit at breakfast and lunch, and making sure she didn't have her supper too late (before 6pm). Worth giving it a try?
