hi all
have a 2.3yr old who is now toilet trained in the day. However overnight he has been dry 4/7 nights. Thing is when he is wet he is soaking and nappy is leaking etc. I use disposable on him of a night but he is sodden in the morning including his bedding and pjs etc. so do I change nappies and buy a cloth for overnight [ i dont mind doing this as dd is in cloth nappies so can be reused] or do I train him of a night or do I keep using disposables? I was looking at minki yo yo as thought it was best option as I can stuff it then but looking for any tips

I haven't got to that stage yet, but since no one else has ventured an opinion... in your position I think I'd be inclined to try the cloth option (I've heard good things about yo yos but I don't remember how they are for heavy wetters -- assuming OK, then they sound like a good option) combined with low-pressure training (since the yo yos can be pulled up and down).

Thnaks leah. Yo yos seem to be ideal option as could pad it out and also reuse with DD but nobody seems to have had any experience with them

I don't know that you can actually train them at night? Unless you lift him when you go to bed, but apparently that's not teaching him to wake himself when he needs to go, or to keep it in till morning. I don't really know. DS1 (6) is still in nappies at night and regularly soaking, DS2 (4) is out of nappies since a few months, spontaneously (dry for two weeks then took nappy off), but has occasional accidents. For both of them it's imperative they go to the toilet just before bedtime. I just take it as it comes really...

mumoftreasures Ds has been going to the loo before bed and is dry a few nights a week which surprised me for his age and also only toilet training 3 wks ago.
