Starting pasta jar reward system from tonight. I feel a bit of an idiot actually but can't think of any other way to provide ds with some workable incentives to behave. Wonder how my parents managed without this. Maybe we were just less enterprising children!

I done the sticker chart for my wee boy

DS1 is 4 and we had a rough time with him. We put 1 chart up for good boy and another by it's side for bad boy.

He had to put the stickers on the appropriate chart himself so he could see what was happening that day.

If he had more bad stickers than good he went to bed with no tv after dinner and bath.

If he was good by the end of the week he was rewarded i.e out to soft play centre

We only used the charts for 3 weeks, WHAT A DIFFERENCE our sweet little boy returned.

The twins who are 2 only got the good boy chart which they also enjoyed, sticker for sleeping in there own bed all night, eating meals-actually maybe I should start it up again for the twins and they will sleep in their own beds all night again

Jambuttie - funny you say that about sleeping in their beds all night. That's a real issue with us too at the moment but I was actually thinking that it is too big a leap to use the pasta on the issue yet since I wouldn't want to take out pasta if he didn't do it since I don't see it as naughty behaviour as such. We're starting with things like not drawing on the table, not arguing over putting on a jumper/coat to go out, not arguing about having his nappy changed.
