Hi my son is ninteen months old, and i want to get him in to a bed before his sister is born (he will be 2). He has a cot which can convert into a bed (which i have done), when is a recommended time to give him a pillow and duvet?

DD1 had a pillow and duvet at 18 months and loved it.

Should be fine at his age b/c he can roll away, push it away, kick it away if he doesn't want it, even in his sleep.

Ds2 has just turned two and has had a pillow for a few months now - he's had a cot duvet since little over a year old. Think it'd be ok tbh.

My ds is 22 months and I've just bought him a duvet and pillow to go into his cot that will convert to a bed when he's ready. Any ideas where I can get nice colourful cot-bed duvet cover from?

dd has had a little pillow since 14 months, but still won't contemplate a duvet - she lurves her growbags! (now 2.1)

they are considered ok from 12 months. My dd had a pillow from around then but didnt have a duvet until about 19/20 months as she had a grobag up till then.

My DD got a pillow and duvet for her first birthday. She has an adult pillow, and a infant duvet.

technically they can have a duvet / pillow once they are a year old

DS2 has been using his since christmas and he is 15 months. I think the nicest cotbed duvet covers are in John Lewis, they last well too, he is the 3rd one to use them.

DS had a duvet at 6 months and a pillow at 15 months.

Duvets are a bit of a drag though as they don't stay on. I recommend sticking with the grobag for as long as possible.
