Did your DD/DS have one? If so:

Did they have an 18th as well?

Did you pay for the whole thing, or was it agreed that you would ask them/they offered to contribute towards?

How long was the guest list?

And how much did it come to?

What did it involve?

Never had a birthday party in my life!
Stayed at home on my own on my 18th (school night), went out few days later when it was another girl's birthday too (and was home by 11 as was utterly wasted - not good!).
21st - meal in a Chinese restaurant with mum, bro, boyfriend and a few mates (I think my mum paid for me/her/bro and everyone else got their own), then mum went home, bro went to work and the rest of us had a fairly standard night out in our usual haunts.
