What time does your 10 year old go to bed?

That's it really. My 10 year old dd has always been a night owl - finds it hard to fall asleep at night and hard to wake up in the morning.

I don't want her lying there tossing and turning for hours so usually her light goes off between 9 - 9.30pm. And even then it takes a good while for her to fall asleep. But it seems late for a 10 year old....

I despair of my 9 year old - she doesn't get to sleep before 10, often later. Up at 7.30. I don't think its anywhere near enough but she seems ok on it. I send her to her room at 9.00 but i can't physically make her go to sleep.

In the holidays (so last 4 weeks) it's been about 10 but usually about 9. He often has football or Cubs until 830 Anyways. Gets up anytime between 6-8 and I rarely have to wake him. He does tons of physical activity. Eg yesterday was up at 8, did 5 hours training between 9-2, came home and chilled out then played outside for 2/3 hrs in evening but still wasn't asleep before 10.

My younger DC don't go to bed until 8, sometimes later, so 9-9.30 seems OK to me!

8pm. She needs to be up at 7 on a school day. School bus at 8 and in school by 8:15 (Canada, they start the school day earlier than in the UK)

13 YO bed at 9pm (or an hour later than DD if she's up a bit later at weekends and holidays.

Even if they don't go straight to sleep, I need my evening time.

In bed and reading by 8. Lights out at 8.30 unless it's school holidays and she's enjoying her book - lights out nearer 9.
Up at 6 on average whatever the time of year and even if she's had a rare late night. Her choice.
