My little one loves her new friend and they seem to be getting along so well. They are the same age and he lives just down the road from us. BUT I can't stand the little guy's parents, especially his mum. I disagree with everything she says, from relationships to politics, social behaviour, food and much much more... She is into all this new agey stuff, for which I have no respect - for instance, if a tarot reading is not good she doesn't go out until the bad karma goes away. She seems to want to be friends, suggests playdates and has offered to babysit as well. I can see my daughter is benefitting from having a close friend. So what do I do? Take it for the sake of the child or subtly distance myself from them? Please help!
