My kids are obsessed with christmas already.

I think they're going to burn themselves out. They wake up singing christmas songs, rush to the advent calendar, then rush to the pens and paper to draw christmas pictures and make christmas cards.

It's a bit scarey. The pressure's definitely on to make it the best day ever, ever in the world ever.

pmsl! i was just htinking today about how absolutely, totally, fantastically exciting it was when I was little!!!

Now it's just boring getting presents, decorating, blah blah blah

Its a magical time of year though, for us parents as well. When you are single you look forward to Xmas Eve more than the day itself, but after having kids you are as excited as they are

DD every morning rushes down first and gets hers and DS's advents ready, she points out which door he needs to open first and they sit and munch chocolate before brekkie, yuch!! Her next question then is "how many sleeps before christmas Mummy?"

My kids are so excited all day. My ds2 (who's five) usually ends up crying at some point in the day because it's all too much for him.

He went into production making cards after school today and was churning them out with a passion.

My dd has learned to screech her way through 'Winter Wonderland' on the recorder.
