My ds was 5 in October and therefore has most things that he wants toy wise....with christmas coming up i have asked him to write a list of what he wants and given him the argos book for ideas....but he just ticks the things he has already got...he doesnt want anything!!! I keep saying "but you already have one of those" and he says that he will just have another!

Havent got a clue what to get him...any ideas??

Does he have any toys he can expand on at all - more of the set, etc?

lol

dd1s christmas list read;

a tamagotchi
a toothbrush
a flannel

she is 6

What sort of things does he like?? Prob a silly question, but my dd 5 has been very vague regarding xmas as she to has everything.
As she likes films and music, i have bought her the new madagascar special edition and also a couple of cd's which i hope to god she will listen to in her bedroom
Other than that i have bought her the 3 things she has asked for which is a karaoke machine, dance mat and the bang on the door blow up bed!!!!!!!!
I thought quite strange for a 5 year old but never mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(You can't imagine my relief when I worked out that DS2 wasn't after a new bedroom but a new B-Damen.)

Twiglett · 28/11/2005 14:12

as an aside .. I bought a couple of remote control sumo wrestlers from M&S .. they are fab and you get 2 in a box, when you press the remote control they make 'sumo-style japanese noises' .. was in stitches in the shop with friend

.. they're for DH though so not relevant

jinglinggoblin · 28/11/2005 14:13

mine dont know what they want either, i think there is so much choice they cant fit it all in their heads. go to toysrus or woolies, buy some stuff you know he will like and surprise him. my 5 and 6 year olds are into thomas the tank, thunderbirds, action man, power rangers, drawing, remote control things, walkie talkies and anything which explodes, makes a mess, or a noise, or can be used to belt the other one with (which is pretty much anything).

Does his room need decorating? My parents did this for me one year and I loved it.
