Slightness of blood in poo

Sorry not a very nice subject but my 5 month little girl who has recently started solids (baby rice, parsnip, carrot, pear)had a very tiny amount of blood in her poo yesterday. I am worried that the consistency of her food was not runny enough, I will mention to the health vistor but just wondered if anyone else had had the same happen.

warney was it mixed in with the poo or a little fresh bit of blood on the outside? If the latter then may just be a tiny tear if the poo was hard. I would check with the HV or Doc either way just to be on the safe side

Just on the outside, I will check with HV, she's since had poos with no blood.

Yes agree it will be just a tear, the same happened to me with DS (first born)I was hysterical and took him straight to A&E in tow with his dirty nappy

Dont worry at all especially as it has'nt happened sincw

Yeah my dd's poos are pretty hard every day and quite often she has had blood there, on the outside. I haven't done anything about it as i am pretty sure it's just a tear. She doesn't seem to be in pain, though struggles sometimes when she does a poo. She doesn't eat enough fruit or drink enough water

PS she's 2.3!

Just to check ... she hasn't had beetroot has she?
I only ask because I remember the alarm at my ds's bright red poo before I remembered.
