If you are short and your DC are tall, at what age did they overtake you in height?

I am 5'4'' if I stand really tall and DH is 6'2''. I was cuddling DS1 who is 3 and a half and realised his legs reach down past my knees!! How many years before im the shortest in the family, waaah? (DS2 is only ten weeks bit also seems to have inherited DH's legs, thank goodness)

I'm 5'4 and DH 5'10.....2 of our DS are 6'2 & 6'3.........They both shot up at 14. Two more DS are 6'. Our DD is 5'7 she was always one of the tallest girls in primary school.

I'm 5'6, dh is 5'8.

DS1 is 10 and already 4'7.

I am 5'4 and the xp is 6'0, ds is 13 and 5'7... ouch! dd is 10 and not 5'0 yet.

I am 5ft and DH is about 5ft 11".

DS1 will be 14 on Monday - he has been taller than me for quite some time and he can pick me up too....

He was a huge help at the supermarket the other day. All the packs of croissants from the front on the top shelf had been taken but there was no way I could reach up to the back to get a pack - he just literally lifted his arm up and got a pack down - no effort whatsoever.

I'm not short at 5' 9, but DS (nearly 13) is about an inch shorter, so I reckon after a summer growth spurt he'll be above me.

My friend is 5' and her DH 6' 2; their DS is 12 and has been taller than her for a couple of years.

I'm 5'4" and my 10 yr old DS is up to my eyes and my 7 yr old DD is almost to my chin

I am 5,2 and Dh is 6,2

They both overtook me by 11 or 12

Just measured my youngest DS he is now 14 and 5'5'' so I am now the shortest in the family. DS says never mind mum you're the widest

I expect him to shoot up this summer like his DB.

Ok, I've got a few years then. And then it'll be me and three blokes over six foot. We will look funny as a family! I suspect I will always be the widest...

Tall sons are very useful......I never have to change a light bulb and they can get stuff off the top shelves. But they do cost £££ to feed

I'm 5'3", dh is 6'2"
ds1 overtook me at age 10.
ds2 not til he was 11

I'm 5'6, DS1 is 6'5 he's 19 and takes a size 13 shoe, and DS2 who is 13 is 6'0 and takes a size 11 in a shoe, I was outgrown when DS1 was 13

I'm 5'4", dd is 13 and has just overtaken me. And she takes a size 9 shoe.

DS over took me (5ft 4) when 11.

He's now 6ft 3 at 16.

DH is 5.10, and DS has been able to pick him up for a couple of years now.

It's lovely having a tall son, when he gives me a hug he towers over me, he likes the fact that old ladies in Sainsbo's always ask him to gets stuff off the top shelves for him.

were are both 5'6 and one taller by half a foot, and the other the same height!

I'm 5'5", DH is 5'10". DS1 is 6' 1.5", amd was my height at age 13. DS2 is 6' 3", and equaled my height at age 14. He has stretch marks from growing so rapidly as a teenager. Also his legs hurt, I think his shins but not sure. Anyway, he has stretch marks on his knees, chest and arms.

Dd1 was probably 13 when she got taller than me. DSS is taller than his dad now, and he is 15.

My boys play lots of sport. They do have to be careful because they can injure themselves more easily when going through a growth spurt. We stopped DS bowling this weekend because of leg pains. Also their coordination goes for a while. They become very clumsy ......all legs and arms.
