The workshop is aimed at Italian speaking parents and carers who wish to support the Italian language of their children through storytelling. The workshop is run by a professional storyteller, Mariangela Agostini, and aims to develop storytelling skills by focusing on how to read (voice, mime, body language,...) and what to read (how to choose children's books and bibliography). The workshop is held in Italian and will be followed by a storytelling session for children and their parents.
Workshop: Saturday 7 May 2011 10.30am- 12.45pm. Fee: £12 till 30 April, £15 after 1 May;
Storytelling: Sunday 8 May 2011 12.15pm- 1.15pm. Fee: £2 per family, 40 places available on a first-come first-served basis.
Events are at the Cambridge Central Library, Lion Yard, Cambridge CB2 3QD. Fees are to support book and material costs.
