I know newborns are meant to look like Winston Churchill but occasionally my 3wo looks like Onslow from Keeping Up Appearances

and sometimes Steven Gerrard. Except he's obviously gorgeous. My baby, that is.

Did anyone else liken their newborn's appearance to an old man, or has the lack of sleep addled my brain?

Take the vest off him. That will help.

See right now he just looks like a baby. And then he wakes up and frowns and suddenly bam! It's an old man.

My OH reminds me of Onslow sometimes - rather my DS did as at least he is cute too!

You shouldn't worry. My ds1 looked like Gollum when he was first born. He was very thin, wrinkly and had huge blue eyes. My Precious....

I have a photo of DS at that age wearing a vest and he bore an uncanny resemblance to Jack Duckworth! It still makes me chuckle now!

DD is extremely delightful and beautiful to boot, but when scowling and in unfortunate lighting there is more than a hint of the Susan Boyle about her...

I don't know who Onslow is. Our DD looked like Chairman Mao when she was born.
I had her by CS and a GA, when I eventually woke up (pissed off the anaesthetist so he put me to sleep for about a hundred years 9 hours too long), I refused to believe DH that she was ours.
I had a walk around the ante natal ward searching for mine.

Yup, my 3mth ds now has a comb-over as he is losing some of his long, lustrous newborn hair... but not all of it . And he has a double chin. He is still gorgeous though from the right angle.

DD's SUBO is at 5 months; she was also a very plump chairman mao for at least the first month.

My 3 week old DS is stunningly beautiful BUT when he is on the boob there is sometimes a hint of Jasper Carrot in his profile. I hope it's just a phase.

Jeely my DS looked a bit like Ian Beale when latched on. I forgot that my brother also likened DD to Steven Seagal, but I can't see it myself.

Dd1 (now beautiful of course) looked like John Prescott, most unfortunate, and she was actually the prettiest baby out of my 3 dcs!
