Someone on here recommended 'The Social Toddler' to me and I think it's fab.

It is a book written from the perspective of the toddler, written by child psychologists. It is most definitely not a Gina Ford, Baby Whisperer 'use my method or else' book. Each section is written alongside stills taken from observational videos of a mum interacting with her toddler and how the 'problem' is solved.

What I love about it, is that it is intelligently written and evidence-based. It's all about the emotional welfare of your child, how to understand their behaviour and showing you how you simply cannot treat a toddler as a mini-adult. Their brains just don't work that way.

As you may have guessed, I detest forced routine books
