Any advice gratefully received , my 18th month old son is pulling my other 2 sons, hair, pinching, hitting etc. they are only 3yrs and 5 yrs old too, and they get upset by it too as you can imagine.

How do I discipline him? He is not talking properly yet. Although he understands why i am saying. the naughty step is sees as a game? help!!

Seriously - he's too young for discipline. Can you teach him how to be gently, say no firmly when he pulls hair then distract. Ask the siblings to try not reacting when he does do that (hard at that age I can imagine)?

Thanks Iggly. I know he's very young. I say no firmly and he is not phased. The 2 older boys expect me to do something as they get the naughty step. I will try and tell them not to react but sometimes they scream and cry because of the hair pulling so its hard not to react. I have tried putting him in the hallway on his own for 2 mins. Guess I will stick to this. thanks

Maybe you could make a big fuss of the older two when he does that? (only is you see it of course)?

I have three boys exactly the same ages, i usually sit the youngest on the floor and hold him on the spot for a minute. A bit like a time out i suppose. I do that if saying "No!" very firmly fails.

thanks everyone, i will try the time out by holding him in place. And making a fuss of the other two boys!{SMILE}
