Can anyone recommend a book I can read to my 5 year old for him to understand about personal space, etc.

This book has quite a few stories in and one of them is called space invaders which is all about personal space.

The book is for children on the spectrum but the stories work really well for all children

I have read all of them to Ds many times and he likes them. We have started using "you are being a bit of a space invader" instead of the usual "don't do that" when he is getting in people's space and he seems to take more notice.

Book of friendship stories

The book has come today and it is going to be really really helpful. Thank you so much for the recommendation and for taking the time to link it for me, BB.

Just seen this but another one you might try is Calm Down Boris! It's really fun with a hand puppet and all about a monster who scares people by always trying to give them hugs and kisses.
