Has anyone else out there got a 12 yr old ds who hasn't a good word to say to anyone who isn't one of his pals?

our ds is a right PITA

always moaning. speaks to us like we are beneath him, unless its just you and him in the house when he's fine

has anyone out there got any advice about dealing with a 12 yr old?

oh and BTW we never get a break from each other here, no family members to help out or visit or foist kids on when it all becomes too much (thats part of our problem)

I feel bad now writing that! he's fine , just a normal boy, but when its raining outside and the kids are moaning life just gets on top of you doesn't it!

Sending you sympathy. Is the same in our house with DS1 who is 13. Can be fab, but often awful.

thank you!

when do they grow up a bit and realise its not all about them?

ssd my ds (Turns 12 next week) is the same , his tone of voice is disgusting tbh & he puts his fist up to my face if i get into an argument with him when DH is in work Sad
other times he is adorable & offers to help me out around the house but only when he is in a good mood .

Sorry I've no advice for you but just wanted to say we are going through similar with our almost 12yr old .
