how often i the childcare element of tax credits paid

i already get tax and working yax credits
i have just started paying for child care and my first payment with the childcare included seems to high to only be one weeks worth of care.

is childcare paid every 2 weeks, or have they ajusted my claim?

as far as i am aware they pay it either weekley or monthly depending on your prefered option....if you dont say which one you want i think they just do monthly hth
