My dd seems to have cracked the potty training after initiating it herself on saturday.Today was her second day since starting at nursery and no accidents.Just had to tell somebody how proud i am of her.She is 2.7.Tried it eight weeks ago but proved disastrous after 4 days so abandoned it.

Well done you & DD! Now you will save a bundle on washing or disposables!

My DD just started to do it herself too, a week after her 2nd birthday she jsut kept coming up & telling me or DH "wee wee potty" & that was it.

She has played with her potty seince she was tiny so she was very used to it, once she discovered it's real use, she's been out of nappies.

Well done ellasmum! I think you are right to leave it longer. I was under loads of pressure from well meaning friends and relatives about when to potty train but I knew she wasn't ready. Every child is different.
